Some people believe that setting off firecrackers is a good thing. They agree that the ancient Chinese custom should be preserved. They also believe that firecrackers make festivals and holidays more cheerful and entertaining for both adults and children.

However, there are other people who say that firecrackers should be banned. They point out that firecrackers may cause fires which may destroy property or hurt people. It is very dangerous.
