???? 第一步：分析句子结构 主句：We became good friends gradually.（我们逐渐成为好朋友。）
前面部分是状语，表示时间的推移。 went by 是 谓语动词，所以这里需要状语从句，应使用连词 As。
答案：As time went by, we became good friends gradually.
???? 第二步：如果要用 With，该怎么改？With 不能引导状语从句，所以必须改动句子结构：
✅ With time going by, we became good friends gradually.
区别：As time went by → 句子结构完整，时间从句（从句主语 + 谓语动词）。
With time going by → 介词短语 + 非谓语动词，作伴随状语。
