第二部分 考试范围、考试内容及试卷结构
一、考试范围及考试内容
《综合英语》是一门综合英语技能课程,其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力。要求能熟练运用课文中的生词、重点短语及句型造句和翻译;会用英语解释课文中的重难点词句;了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,能对文章结构、修辞和语言技巧进行较为深入的分析;能读懂与课文难度相当的文章,并在全面理解的基础上回答相应的问题;能结合文体学知识进行短文和应用文写作;能用正确的观点评价思想内容,判断评述以及表达思想,并通过教材扩大知识面,对英语国家的历史和现状、社会风俗和将英语民族的思维及表达方式有一定的了解,达到《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》所规定的听、说、读、写、译等技能的要求。

二、试卷结构及要求
(一)、听力
I. 听写
要求:所听短文以学生日常校园和社会生活话题为主,长度约80-90个单词。共念四遍,第一遍用正常语速朗读,录音语速为每分钟120个单词,让学生听懂材料大意。第二、三遍朗读时意群、分句和句子之间留出约15秒的空隙,让学生书写。第四遍再用正常语速朗读,让学生检查。要求能在全面理解内容的基础上逐字逐句写出所听材料
示例:
Ever since the modern Olympic Games began in 1896, they\'ve had their critics. Every form of competitive activity attracts trouble. But part of the aim of the Games, when they were first held in Ancient Greece, was to discourage wars between states by engaging them in a more friendly kind of competition.The spirit of competition in the Games does a lot of good, getting people to forget their differences in a communal activity. Any competitor or spectator at the Games or in the Olympic Village will tell you that the atmosphere of friendship there is unforgettable, as if the world were one big family. The Games are the biggest international gathering of any kind in the world. Not only do they bring sportsmen together, but they unite a world public.
II. 听力理解
要求:能听懂英语国家人士关于日常生活、社会生活和学习的演讲和会话。能理解大意,领会说话者的态度、感情和真实意图。听到问题后从所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
示例:

(二)、词汇及语法结构
要求:能进行词汇辨析,掌握并能正确运用基本语法和句法。
示例:

(三)、翻译
要求:能根据所给出的中文短文翻译成相对应的英语,要求用词准确,表达清晰。
示例:
读书是愉悦心智之事。在这一点上它与运动颇为相似:一个优秀的读者必须要有热情、有知识、有速度。读书之乐并非在于作者要告诉你什么,而在于它促使你思考。你跟随作者一起想像,有时你的想象甚至会超越作者的。把自己的体验与作者的相互比较,你会得出相同或者不同的结论。在理解作者想法的同时,也形成了自己的观点。
(四)、写作
I. 便条写作
要求:按照便条写作的格式,保证正文内容的完整性及语言的准确性。
示例:
Write a thank-you note using the cues given below.

II.议论文写作
要求:能根据所给的作文题目、图表或阅读材料等,写一篇200个单词左右的作文。能做到内容相关、充实,语言通顺,用词恰当,表达得体。
示例:
Big cities always hold strong attention to people who live in the rural areas. What are the advantages or disadvantages of living in a big city? Write a composition about 200 words to state your viewpoint on the following topic:
The Advantages or Disadvantages of Living in a Big City
You are to write in three paragraphs. In the first paragraph, state your viewpoint clearly. In the second paragraph, give one of two reasons to support your point of view. In the last paragraph, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion.
